Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of leaders of Viet Nam Farmers’ Union, Chairman Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong expressed his deep gratitude to Vice President of Viet Nam Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan because she spent her time to meet with delegation of “Excellent Vietnamese Farmers 2015”
 
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong said that: “Proud of Vietnamese Farmers” program and “Excellent Vietnamese Farmers” Award Ceremony which were organized for the first time in 2013 by Viet Nam Farmers’ Union were successful and received the support, encouragement, response of staffs, members and farmers from all over the country. Most of these excellent farmers who were honored in 2013, 2014 are working great. In 2015, “Proud of Vietnamese Farmers” program is a one of important activities of Viet Nam Farmers’ Union to welcome National Patriotic Emulation Congress, The 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam,....
 
On behalf of “Excellent Vietnamese Farmers 2015” delegation, Mr. Pham Van Hinh (a representative for outstanding farmers in Lao Cai province), Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nam (a farmer has fantastic inventors in Tra Vinh province), Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thien My (a excellent farmer in Kon Tum province) expressed their thanks to the State, the Party, Farmers’ Union and recommended, proposed some issues related to the challenges and difficulties of farmers nowadays.
 
Vice President of Viet Nam Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan expressed her pleasure to met and talked with  delegation of “Excellent Vietnamese Farmers 2015”; she affirmed the role and position of Viet Nam Farmers’ Union and Vietnamese Peasantry in history, in particularly in revolutionary period with the leadership of the Communist Party and the renovation period; she also expressed excitement with the great contributions which Vietnamese Farmers achieved in recent year.
 
At the meeting, Vice President of Viet Nam Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan also stated the difficulties, challenges in agriculture, rural and farmer when integrating in ASEAN market and  participating in TPP; she offered Viet Nam Farmers’ Union to continue to support farmers overcoming them. Vietnamese farmers are very creative in inventing and innovating such many kinds of machinery and equipment. Vietnamese people’s intellect does not depend on the area, religion or environment, it is always encouraged to develop.
 
Ended the meeting, Vice President of Viet Nam Mrs. Nguyen Thi Doan gave presents and took group photos with “Excellent Vietnamese Farmer 2015” delegation. “Proud of Vietnamese Farmers” program was chaired and directed by Viet Nam Farmers’ Union in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Central Propaganda Department and Ministry of Industry and Trade. Implementation units are Today Countryside Newspaper, International Development Cooperation Company, Viet Nam Television, Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint-Stock Company.
 
“Excellent Vietnamese Farmer 2015” award ceremony was organized at Ha Noi Opera House at 8.00 pm, October 14, 2015. Attending this award ceremony were Party and State leaders, representatives of the leaderships Vietnam Farmers’ Union and ministries and 63 out-standing farmers. This award ceremony was broadcast directly on Vietnam Television.
